Drake, Nicki Minaj & Tyga Claim Birdman Owes Them Money, Lil Wayne Says

No matter how hard Birdman continues to act like there is no rift between him and Lil Wayne, the court docs suggest exactly the opposite. According to TMZ, the CEO of Young Money has filed new legal papers where he claims his signees also got stiffed out of a fortune.

Weezy says that Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga all have complained about Baby’s financial ways. He refers to letters he has received from Drizzy and T-Raw, where they describe the issues, as well as another letter from Onika’s camp where her reps point out her producers were never paid for their work by Young Money. For his part, Tunechi adds it is Cash Money’s responsibility to make the payments, because CMR is the parent company.

In addition, YM claims it was supposed to receive part of a $100 million advance from Universal, but the label is still waiting. Cash Money, on the other hand, explains Weezy was given $20 million advance for Young Money in 2012, another $12 million for his solo album I Am Not A Human Being II and another $70 million in advances, royalties, marketing and recording costs for various Young Money artists. As well, Birdman’s imprint accuses Tunechi of not fulfilling his contractual obligations as Young Money was supposed to deliver 21 albums over 7 years for his artists and only put out 13.

In related news, TMZ reports that Wayne also claims Birdman spoiled his label deal with Chanel West Coast. Even though she is listed on YM’s website, the supposed deal was never finalized because Cash Money refused to give the official sign off. Weezy blames his former industry father for interfering with his business decisions and costing him a lot of money.
