#BBNaija Day 19: The Rico Halo

Ever since he entered the House, Rico Swavey has managed a feat no other Housemate has - not rubbing any of his peers the wrong way. Somehow he has stayed clear from his peers volatile tempers.

Rico promised to bring his easy likable personality into the House, and he did. For all, he is the cool cat, the pacifier, the cute, funny guy who has no problems and laughs with everyone. Yet earlier in his career, he shared that he was dealt with a throbbing blow when a record company screwed him over.

Behind his mischievous look and grin,the man who entered the House on a bouncing stride turned out to be quite the strategist. The crooner doesn’t talk much but on the few occasions that he did, it produced an impactful surprise-effect and his voice was heard respectfully, like when he shamed Housemates for their insensitive waste of so much food. To the contrary, the youthful aspiring actor and singer appeared to be in full control of his every move, in an ever cool, calm and composed behaviour, as silence seems to be his line of attack.

Yet there is more to Rico than meets the eye, for he might carefully wrap his words before offering them, but his face reads like an open book. The range of emotions that paint his face at any time is just priceless: from the eye-rolling to the drooping or the wide-eyed wonder, for anyone caring to look, Rico is true to his emotions.

Perhaps it is in his relationships with the opposite sex that he appears the most vulnerable: he is everyone’s friend, and easy to hug at that. Rico’s only grumble is that he wished Ahneeka would cuddle him more, like all the other pairs. 

Every cell of this gentleman has never lost sight of the nature of the BBNaija game. Rico knows he’s walking a very fine line to the winning prize.
