Tuesday was a very special day for Kendrick Lamar. The Compton emcee kicked off his 1st Annual Kunta’s Groove Sessions Tour with a gig at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Backed
by the National Symphony Orchestra, the TDE member delivered a
performance conducted by Steven Reineke, who has also previously led
performances featuring Nas and John Legend. Lamar’s set included handful
of To Pimp A Butterfly tracks, including “These Walls,” “Alright,”
“King Kunta,” “The Blacker The Berry,” “Mortal Man” and “i.”
