Last Sunday, August 30th, marked 10 years since the release of Rihanna’s debut album Music of the Sun. Though she didn’t even mentioned the anniversary on social media, that doesn’t mean she has forgotten about it or doesn’t intend on celebrating it.
Yesterday, the Bajan songstress released her new fragrance line during a special event in Brooklyn and told AP she plans to commemorate her decade-long career in music later this year.
Definitely a very big deal for me,” she said. “You know, I can’t believe it’s 10 years already, but we definitely have to celebrate this year. There are a few things I have in mind, so you’ll have wait on that, but don’t think I’m forgetting because this means a lot to me that I made it to 10 years.
With two hit singles under her belt this year – “FourFiveSeconds” and “B**** Better Have My Money” – Rih also made an update on her much delayed eighth studio album R8. She said she “can’t wait to finish and put it out” and claimed this will be her “next step.” Let’s hope that’s true
