50 Cent Served with $200 Million Lawsuit over “Power”

50 Cent got slapped with another huge lawsuit and this time around the plaintiff is claiming the rap mogul jacked his original idea and used it to create his Starz show

According to TMZ, Larry Johnson penned a manuscript dubbed Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid roughly 10 years ago. In 2005, he sent it to Nikki Turner, who works for Curtis’ G-Unit Books. Even though the book was never published, the author is convinced Turner showed it to the rapper at some point.

Johnson claims that Power’s primary character, Ghost, adopts his own pen name. As well, in his manuscript the main character’s best friend is pretty short-tempered, just like Tommy in the series. Last but not least, in his script, the main character owns the hottest nightclub in Atlanta, alike Ghost who has the most popular spot in New York City.

Johnson’s lawsuit against 50 Cent is worth $200 million. Knowing Curtis’ legal team and considering the nature of the suit, the plaintiff has little to no chance.
