We’re seeing more and more African artists breaking records these days. This shows that the music industry is growing.
Just
recently Cassper Nyovest made history after becoming the first South
African artist to have a sold-out concert at the Ticket Pro Dome in
Johannesburg. The sold out show received rave reviews and was attended
by 20 000 people from around the country; a big moment for SA music.
Now the rapper has announced plans to host another concert at Johannesburg’s Orlando Stadium in 2016 – the venue seats 40 000 people and on top of that he’s set his sights on filling up FNB Stadium (also in Joburg) in 2017. Talk about having ambition and a clear vision!
2015 we #FilledUpTheDome. 2016 we #FillUpOrlandoStadium . 2017 we #FillUpFNBstadium RT if you will be there!!!! This is history!!!

The rapper really does have a lot of
confidence in himself and his music. He continues to remind us that
nothing is impossible. Now the question is: will Cassper fill up both of
these venues the same way he did the Dome?
Back
in 2013 Rihanna became the youngest person to have a sold-out show the
venue, with over 67 000 people in attendance. She was in the country for
her Diamonds World Tour which was a great success.
Riri took to Twitter to share her excitement with fans. She posted a
picture with the caption: “Sold out stadium show in #Johannesburg!!!
Over 67’000 people #Jah.”
