Slim Jesus set the blogosphere on fire
earlier this week. The Chicagoan blew up with his newly-liberated single
“Drill Time,” the music video to which depicts what one might expected –
a bunch of wilding out juveniles playing with guns and stacks of money
in front of the lens. Taking advantage of the publicity he is receiving,
the up-and-comer took to Twitter to reveal the most essential
information surrounding his persona.
To
start with, Slim Jesus revealed he is of age. Even though he looks like
he is as old as Lil Mouse, he actually turned 18 earlier this year. He
also claimed he is not going to school, but has got a “job,” whatever
that means: “Im 18, i dont go to school, & this music s*** took off a
few days ago... Of course I have a job dumbasses... Yall kids aint
exposin s***.”
SJ is enjoying much
attention from the ladies. As a matter of fact, he tweeted he already
has got pornstars sending him direct messages. In spite of his love for
females, you won’t catch him stalking women on Instagram: “I don’t have
an IG, all them h**s are fake.”
What
is more important, though, Slim has already been approached by labels
and offered deals. He might be open to work with any producer who hooks
him up with hot beats, but he is “not doing features with anybody i
haven’t heard of” and “not signing to your label i haven’t heard of.”
As
well, Jesus hinted at someone else accusing him of stealing the beat
for “Drill Time.” He explained that he simply coped the same
instrumental, meaning none of them have bought the exclusive rights for
it. We are not really surprised, because that’s a pretty common case.
Whether
this will be the next one-hit wonder who simply listened to too much
Chief Keef is yet to be determined. In the meantime, Jesus has received
cosigns from fellow Chicago natives Lil Bibby and Twista, as well as Diplo, among others. For now, Slim plans on doing his thing and remaining down-to-earth. We’ll see what happens next.
