Meek Mill was among those who were not hyped up about the release of What A Time To Be Alive
due to obvious reasons. As if it wasn’t enough his current industry
enemy Drake recorded a joint project with his pal Future, both rappers
actually issued shots aimed at the MMG signee.
For his part, Drizzy took a number of jabs with the most notable
being his “30 for 30 Freestyle” lyrics, “And your absence is very
concerning / It’s like you went on vacation with no plan of returning.”
As for Future, he unexpectedly dropped a subliminal reference to Meek in the track “Big Rings,” where he raps, “You just a battle rapper, I’m an official trapper.”
Soon after the mixtape dropped, Instagram users started flooding
Meek’s feed with diamond emojis. Evidently, that was the straw that
broke the camel’s back and he clapped back at Drake, Future and their
fans. Posting a photo of himself and his squad, he captioned it,
“#f***boyseason lol.”
We thought that beef was over, but it looks like the rap war is still on. Judging by Meek’s tactics thus far, it’s your move again, Drizzy.
