Joining The Real for the talk show's premiere episode that airs Monday, Brown said, "We prayed and hoped for six months ... for something better to happen. But when God calls you, he calls you."
Bobbi Kristina died July 26 after she was found unresponsive in her her home bathtub on Jan. 31 and spent the next six months in a medically induced coma. She is the only child of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
"I'm pretty sure her mother was … had a part with like, 'Come on, let's get her up here,' " said Brown.
His wife Alicia Etheredge, added, "In the best way … in the welcoming way."
"[Houston] was not comfortable by herself, I guess," said Brown. "She just called my daughter with her."
