ALBUM ALERT: Yemi Alade announces debut album

MTV EMA Best African Act nominee Yemi Alade has announced the title of her upcoming debut album. The Nigerian singer revealed the news on Instagram this past weekend writing:

“If gender means tagging women with female and attaching inferior standards or double standards and disrespect each time it is mentioned, then l certainly don’t believe in gender. #KingOfQueens is my debut album title and its true meaning is not for the faint hearted”.

Yemi is one of five nominees at this year’s MTV EMAs in the Best African Act category. You can vote for her or any of the nominees by visiting the MTV EMAs website.
