ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Watch Jason Derulo Sing 'Trap Queen' in Bob Marley Voice at Billboard Hot 100 Fest

Jason Derulo isn't afraid of having a little fun singing other artist's current hits -- even when he's asked to do so in the voice of Bob Marley.

Sitting down backstage at Billboard's first Hot 100 Music Festival, Derulo happily participated in a game with staffers that found him having a blast crooning Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" while hilariously impersonating late reggae legend Marley.

Derulo sang plenty of his own hits at Billboard's Hot 100 Fest, which launched Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y. During his set, the singer delivered "Talk Dirty," "Cheyenne," "Wiggle" and an extended jam on the massive smash "Want to Want Me," which recently became the most-added track in the history of top 40 radio.
Derulo told Billboard that his music is a reflection of his daily life. "I write songs based on things that I go through, things that I'm dealing with, things that are happening in my life," he explained, noting that "Want to Want Me" is based on a true story.

"If a song is singing your life you feel like that song was made for you," he continued. "I go through that all the time with being a fan of music."

Derulo also pointed out that the summer festival season is his favorite time of the year. "You get all these party crowds and that's kind of my life right now," he said. "I'm in this party mode and just trying to live and have a good time. Life is so short."
