Usually, Bey features Maya Angelou’s classic poem “Phenomenal Woman” in her sets and so she did this time around, too. In addition, she also payed homage to UFC fighter Ronda Rousey before launching into “Diva.” In a July UFC vlog, Rousey made waves after she responded to critics who describe her body as too “masculine,” stating she not a “do nothing b****.”
Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f***ing millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as f*** because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose, because I’m not a do nothing b****.”
Bey played the exact same segment during her set, reminding the world she is a standout feminist. Other than that, she delivered a magnificent set which included “Crazy in Love,” “7/11,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Flawless,” “Say My Name,” “Yonce,” “XO,” Single Ladies” and “Halo.”
